The Judith Randolph-Longwood Chapter NSDAR recently had speaker Claudia Meinhard, RN, BSN, MHA, CENP and chief operating nursing officer and chief operating officer of Centra Southside Community Hospital come to a meeting.

Meinhard discussed the new Centra Farmville Medical Center from its conception in 2012 to its current operational status.

The center currently employs seven medical doctors and four nurse practitioners.

It hopes to soon recruit an interventional cardiologist and an urologist.

The center is striving to provide excellence in health care.

As part of this process Meinhard welcomed feedback from the community and continues to want to hear from residents.
