Benchmark Community Bank announced Thursday the promotion of Natasha Gill to branch manager in Victoria. Gill takes over from former Branch Manager John Webb who has moved to the South Hill branch.

Gill, who graduated from Longwood University in 2004 with a bachelor of science in business administration, has worked at Benchmark for 14 years. Starting as a summer and Saturday teller while still in school, she took on more responsibility and has held a number of different positions, including customer service representative, internal auditor, branch assistant and relationship banker.

Benchmark Senior Vice President LeAnne Emert is positive about Gill’s appointment, saying, “Natasha has a demonstrated strength in developing strong relationships with co-workers and customers. She is truly an asset and it is my pleasure to see her career continue to grow as manager in Victoria. Her background and track record have prepared her well for the position and I’m confident she will excel in this role.”

Regarding her new promotion Gill said, “I’m honored to be promoted to branch manager. I feel fortunate that Benchmark has given me the opportunity to serve the businesses and citizens in my home community and I look forward to continuing to do so.” A native of Victoria, Gill is active in many civic organizations including the Lunenburg Rotary and Lunenburg Health Services Board. She resides in town with her husband and two children.
