Central 58, Amelia 21 – Final
The Central High School varsity football team strengthened its high standing in the region and improved its chances of claiming a high seed in the playoffs with a 58-21 blowout of visiting Amelia County High School on Friday evening.
The Chargers (7-2) have now matched their 2015 regular season win total and could improve on it and their playoff seeding when they close out their regular season schedule at Cumberland High School next Friday at 7 p.m.

Portsmouth Christian 41, Kenston Forest 7 – Final
The Kenston Forest School varsity football team fell in lopsided fashion to visiting Portsmouth Christian School on Friday with a final score of 41-7.
The Kavaliers, who have been eliminated from Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III playoff contention, fall to 4-5 for the season with their latest loss. After starting the season 2-0, they fell to 2-3 but then recovered, improving to 4-3 before their current two-game slide.
Kenston Forest hosts Fredericksburg Christian School next Friday at 7 p.m.
