All four Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) locations will host Panther Prep Advising Day on Nov. 21 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The event is for all current students, those interested in becoming a student or others learning more about the college. The general public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

SVCC will show its Panther Pride with fun, food, DJs, door prizes (to include laptops and VISA gift cards); help with registering for Spring Classes; applying for financial aid; and advisors getting students on the right path to success. There will also be information about the new SVCC women’s softball team, entertainment, face painting and college tours.

There will also be a free screening of the movie, Farmland, at 7 p.m. at the Alberta and Keysville sites to provide insights on how food is produced and highlight SVCC’s Agribusiness Program.
