During Victoria Elementary School’s recent “Stuff the Turkey” campaign, it named second grade teacher Kristen DeJarnette as its 2016 “Turkey Queen.” Her class brought in a total of 117 non-perishable food items. Second place went to Valerie J. Moody’s third-grade class while third place went to Cristyl H. Words’ second-grade class. VES collected a total of 510 non-perishable food items, which were donated to the local Salvation Army food bank.
