On Jan. 18, the Central High School DECA Chapter competed in the District IV Leadership Conference held at River Ridge Mall In Lynchburg. The winners included, Ben Atkins, who placed first on the test contest and second for the overall principles of marketing event; Justin Blackwell, who placed third in the test contest of the food marketing event; Makilah Lee, who placed third in the test contest of the retail merchandising event; Katie Sherwood, who placed first in the test contest of the restaurant full service contest; Storm Krotzer, who placed first in the test contest of the hospitality event; and Celina Gaidowski, who placed third in the test contest and first in the role play contest of the restaurant marketing full service event.
