Homeowner water testing clinic set

The Lunenburg Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is set to offer another homeowner water testing clinic for well, spring and cistern owners.
According to a press release, those interested should contact the office if they’re interested in participating by reserving a kit.
“Kit pick-up will take place the week prior to sample pick-up on Aug. 23. Please contact the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office at (434) 696-5526 or Lindy Tucker at (434) 321-2009 with questions. The reduced testing fee of $55 is due at the time of kit pick up. Testing will include iron, manganese, sulfate, hardness, alkalinity, sodium, copper, nitrate, arsenic, fluoride, pH, total dissolved solids, coliform bacteria, e. coli bacteria and lead,” according to a press release. “Samples must be dropped off at the VCE Office on August 23 between 7:30 -9:30 a.m. for transportation. …”
