Georgia Seay, of Philadelphia PA, passed away on March 21, 2018, at Care Pavilion on Walnut St. after a long illness.

Georgia Marie Brydie was born to the late Morris (Skinner) and Mary Etta (Marietta) Blackwell Brydie in Lunenburg County on February 12, 1927. She became a member of St. Matthew’s Baptist Church at a young age and remained a member until her death. In addition, she became a member of Monumental Baptist Church and was honored for 60 years of service in 2011. Georgia graduated from Lunenburg Training School and was married to Russell Seay (deceased) in 1946.

Georgia is beloved by her daughter, Demaris A. Seay of Capitol Heights MD; sisters-in-law, Nannie L. White Brydie (Harold) of Philadelphia PA, Alberta Hayes Brydie (Richard) of Yeadon PA, Betty Seay (Richard) of Kenbridge, VA and Wallicia Seay (Clifton) of Lake Ridge, VA; lovingly remembered as “Aunt Georgie” to her nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
