Drugs, money seized in bust

Drugs and more than $5,000 in U.S. currency were seized by the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force following an investigation in the Town of Keysville, a news release from the task force noted.
The investigation into alleged drug distribution took place Wednesday in the Town of Keysville.
“The investigation resulted in a traffic stop and subsequent search warrant in the County of Charlotte,” the release cited.
“The operation resulted in the seizure of 35 Methadone tablets valued at $350, 18 Oxycontin tablets valued at $180, 3 Xanax tablets valued at $30, 5 Hydrocodone tablets valued at $25, 47 Methocarbinol tablets valued at $235, 30 grams of Marijuana valued at $600, Heroin valued at $10, and $5,369 in U.S. Currency,” the release noted.
“Charges are pending on multiple individuals and the investigation is on-going,” the release noted.
The Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force is comprised of narcotics investigators from the Charlotte and Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Offices and Virginia State Police, the release cited. Assisting the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force were members of the Halifax/South Boston, and State Police Regional Narcotics /Gang Task Force, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia State Police, Bureau of Field Operations, Area 23 Office.
