James W. Boise

James W. Boise was born on June 16, 1949 in Farmville, Virginia to Kelly W. and Mary A. Boise. His friends affectionately called him Jimmy.
Jimmy attended Lunenburg County Public Schools. He was employed at Kenlea Furniture in Kenbridge, Virginia where he worked for more than 30 years. He also worked at Mike’s Heating and Plumbing in Chase City, Virginia. He had a warm spirit and was a wonderful husband to his wife of 50 years, Diane Owens. He was also a great father to his four children. Jimmy always had a smile on his face and loved to go fishing with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Mary A. Boise; his brother, Kenneth Boise (Pattie); and his sister, Mary Alice Boise. Jimmy answered the Master’s call on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home in Victoria, Virginia.
He leaves behind his lovely wife, Diane Boise; his three sons, Brian Boise (Vanessa), Corey Boise (Keyra), and Cedric Boise; and his daughter, Renee Boise; four granddaughters, Cierra Boise, Corinne Boise, Kamira Boise, and Kamora Boise; his brother, Larry Boise (Alice) and sister Margaret Brown; his special nieces, Missy Garcia (Omar), Tracey Bland (Michael), and Pam Owens and several nephews; his brothersin- law, Major Owens (Connie) and Ray Owens; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Clarke and Marilyn Naylor; a very special aunt, Jean Shepperson, and a host of other aunts, uncles, and close family friends, including Katina Bailey, Irby Pryor, and Ben Drummond. A memorial service was held Saturday June 23, 2018 at 11a.m. Words of comfort were by Minister Marilyn Naylor.
