Pastor Gladys Odell Watson, 67, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.

Pastor Watson was born in Lunenburg County, VA February 14, 1951 to the late Robert Watson and Mabel Worsham Gilbert. She was a graduate of Central High School, and furthered her education at Southside Virginia Community College. She was the Pastor of Holy Name Church of Jesus in Chase City, VA, and was formerly employed by Jonbil, Inc. and as a substitute teacher.

Cherishing her memories are one son, Alex Odell Watson of Saxe, VA; one Goddaughter, Christie N. Holcomb of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Larry Watson of Fort Mitchell, VA and Dandy Watson of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Barbara Ann Harris of Saxe, VA, Mildred Eubanks of Keysville, VA and May Bell Holcomb of Chase City, VA, one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Pastor Gladys Odell Watson were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Holy Name Church of Jesus, Chase City, VA with Bishop Osmond Smith officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, VA.
