Entering this week, only Central High School’s varsity girls basketball squad remained active among the school’s winter sports teams, but Central coaches and athletes are already preparing for a busy spring sports season.

There will be a brief hiatus in any on-field scheduled Central sports contests next week, but softball, soccer and baseball scrimmages will begin during the first full week of March.
