The Lunenburg Middle School (LMS) Blue Devils softball team improved to 8-0 overall this season with its play last week when it defeated Central Middle School 13-12 and routed Amelia County Middle School 17-2.

In the week prior, LMS also played Amelia, starting slow in the first inning before its defense and bats came alive in the second.

Blue Devils Captain Kennedy Moody went 2-for-3 at the plate, and captain Regan Harris went 3-for-3 to lead the offensive charge.

Timely hits from Kelsey Marshall, Cayley Stokes and Olivia Moses also helped to push runs across the plate.

With Tristan Buchanan and Marshall sharing pitching duties, the Blue Devils show a promising future at the mound.
