Update for Victoria Centra office

Centra Health officials said they remain in the process of searching for a doctor at the Victoria Centra office, which has not had a doctor since Dr. Mary Cabrera relocated to the Farmville Centra Medical Group center as a walk-in provider April 1.
“We are thankful for Dr. Cabrera’s service to the Victoria Community,” the update cited. “Centra is actively recruiting to fill this position, which typically takes 18 months.”
In the update, Tom Angelo, CEO of Centra Southside Community Hospital, said that the organization is seeking a representative for Victoria that would fulfill its goal to provide quality care.
“We are currently working to recruit a new provider for the Victoria Primary Care Practice,” Angelo said in the release. “The health and well-being of the community in Victoria is very important to us. Our commitment to our patients is about providing quality care while also hiring only the very best providers for our patients and families.”

The Farmville Centra Medical Group walk-in clinic is available for same-day sick visits. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon.
