Sellers leads CHS on regional track

Chargers junior Shamond Sellers won the boys 110-meter hurdles to lead Central High School’s track and field program during the Region 1B Track & Field Championships on Monday at Stonewall Jackson High School in Quicksburg.
Sellers placed first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.92 seconds.
His performance helped Central’s boys team produce 32 points to place seventh out of nine scoring teams.
Also placing highly for the Chargers was freshman NyJae’ Carter, who finished second in the boys 100-meter dash with an 11.84-second time, third in the boys long jump with an 18-foot-11.5-inch leap and third in the boys triple jump with a 38-01 mark.
Central senior Jakeriah Spraggins earned third in the girls 400-meter dash with a 1-minute-7.12-second time.
