VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill recently welcomed Dr. Steven Foster to its family of health care providers. Foster specializes in Family Medicine.
Foster earned a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.0.) degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“It’s amazing to see people of all ages and help folks through the most difficult, and most amazing events of their lives. I am so honored and excited to be a part of the South Hill community (Southside Virginia) — it is obvious already that this is a warm, kind community,” said Foster.
Originally from Chesapeake he received a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg with a major in biology and a minor in humanitarian affairs. He enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, bouldering, fishing and riding his beach cruiser around town. Foster has been a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians since 2012 and a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners since 2015.
Dr. Foster is currently working at CMH Family Care located inside the C.A.R.E. Building, 1755 N. Mecklenburg Ave. in South Hill. He is accepting new patients; to schedule an appointment call (434) 584-2273.
