Victoria Town Manager Rodney Newton announced a Town wide cleanup day to be held Saturday, Sept. 28. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to participate.
Annual Victoria Town Cleanups started a couple of years ago and are held in the spring and fall.
According to Newton the cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. and volunteers should meet at the flagpole in Victoria Railroad Park.
“All volunteers will be provided with bags for collecting trash and should bring their own gloves,” said Newton. He continued, “volunteers have been great in past cleanups and I would love to see more citizens participate.”
Newton said, “we will be working on picking up litter and cleaning up different areas of the town, all help would be appreciated.”
The last cleanup day was held in April.
