NOW-FEBRUARY 2

REVIVAL, Southside Mennonite Church, 215 Hickory Road, Kenbridge. Monday-Saturday services will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday services at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

JANUARY 31

PROGRAM, to learn more about becoming a census taker will take place at Ripberger Library from 10 a.m.-noon and at Victoria Library from 1-4 p.m.

MEET & GREET, 5-6 p.m. at Mildred’s Meals to meet with U.S. House of Representatives Denver Riggleman about any issues that you would like to discuss.

FEBRUARY 1

AREA 3 MEN’S QUARTERLY MEETING, 10 a.m. of the Baptist General Convention of Virginia at the Cherrystone Missionary Baptist Association Center located at 5551 Tom Fork Road, Ringgold. Men from the churches in the Bluestone Harmony Association, The Banister Missionary Baptist Association, The Cherrystone Missionary Baptist Association and The Sunnyside Missionary Baptist Association are encouraged to attend.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. hosted by New Galilee Baptist Church Women’s Ministry at the church. Music provided by Kaipo Morrison, praise dance by Sister Sierra’s Group and speaker Deaconess Shirley Lee. Everyone is welcome.

FEBRUARY 2

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Rosebud Baptist Church hosted by the Youth Ministry. The Blackstone Community Chorus will perform the play “Old Fashion.” There will also be some youth presentations. Feel free to dress down in old attire.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 2 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with a soul-food dinner and the movie, “Harriet.” Everyone is welcome.

FEBRUARY 3

BI-MONTHLY MEETING, 6 p.m. of The Lunenburg County Public Library System, Inc. Board of Trustee’s at the Ripberger Public Library. This meeting is open to the public.

FEBRUARY 4

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, 7 p.m. for any or all youth from the fifth grade to the twelfth grade (age 11-17) who may be interested in joining the Boy Scouts of America (girls are included in this meeting) at the Presbyterian Church in Victoria (building next to the Victoria Restaurant). Parents need to be present. Applications will be available for youth and volunteers.

MOVIE NIGHT, 4 p.m. at People’s Community Center, 1021 Tidewater Ave., Victoria, with a double feature, “Harriet” and Overcomer” hosted by the Lunenburg NAACP. Everyone is welcome.

DAR TO MEET, 10 a.m., the Judith Randolph-Longwood Chapter, at the Farmville-Prince Edward Library. Guest speaker will be Robin Warren, owner of Glory Reins Ranch, Cumberland. Her presentation is titled “A Place to Heal”.

FREE CLOTHES GIVE-AWAY, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Kenbridge Recreation Center, Kenbridge. Open to the public.
