A welfare check on a person passed out in a vehicle at the Victoria Dollar General resulted in multiple charges for a Burkeville man.
Victoria Police Officer Tonya Jones found Tremell Ranaldo Watson inside his vehicle Wednesday, April 22, around 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar General. The engine was still running. After making several attempts to awaken Watson, Jones called for medical assistance for a possible overdose.
The statement from Victoria Police Officer Matthew Gatling said Watson woke up after Jones reached in to turn off the engine and shook him. Jones, who was assisted by the Lunenburg Sheriff’s Department, found 297 Xanax pills and approximately 4 ounces of marijuana in the vehicle.
Watson was charged with multiple drug offenses.
