The Central High School varsity football team was represented by four players and five selections with the announcement of the 2017 All-James River District football honors.

Chargers senior Jackson Parsons made the all-district first team as an offensive lineman and the all-district second team as a defensive lineman.

Central junior running back Dontae Crowder and senior punter Ethan Hoover also made the all-district first team.

Junior Earl Ginn represented Central on the second team at the place kicker position.
