148TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 9 a.m. of The WHITE ROCK AME Zion Church, 1123 Lew Jones Road, Alberta. Sunday School, guest teacher The Rev. Samuel Buck and morning worship at 10 a.m. with guest preacher, Presiding Elder of the Petersburg District of the AME Zion Church, Rev. T. K. Venable.  In the afternoon at 3 p.m., The Rev. Dr. Audrey Jones, a daughter of White Rock, and the Greater Faith AME Zion Church will be our guest preacher. A meal will be served.

NOVEMBER 28

VFW AND AUXILIARY TO MEET, 5:30 p.m. at Post #9954. The Auxiliary will host a silent auction before the meal to raise funds for our veteranas and service members. All members are invited to do some gift and Xmas shopping for a great cause.

DECEMBER 3

CHRISTMAS SERVICE, 1:30 p.m. at The Rock church in South Hill with Pastor Melvin O. Jiggetts. There will be gifts given out and the Word will be powerful. The church is located at 26393 HWY 47 South Hill VA 23970 across from the South Hill radio station.

COMMONWEALTH CHORALE TO PRESENT HANDEL’S MESSIAH, 3, p.m. at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church St. in Blackstone. The performance is free of charge; no tickets are required. A free-will offering will be taken during intermission. For further information call (434) 392-7545.
