CHRISTMAS PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at the Gill Hill Baptist Church. Appearing will be the New Bethel Steppers and Antioch Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE, 1:30 p.m. at The Rock church in South Hill with Pastor Melvin O. Jiggetts. There will be gifts given out and the Word will be powerful. The church is located at 26393 Route 47 South Hill across from the South Hill radio station.

COMMONWEALTH CHORALE TO PRESENT HANDEL’S MESSIAH, 3, p.m. at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church St. in Blackstone. The performance is free; no tickets are required. A free-will offering will be taken during intermission. For further information call (434) 392-7545.

VENDOR FOOD SAFETY WORKSHOP, 10 a.m. at SVCC. Some Topics include On-farm safety assessment, risk assessment group activities, Virginia food laws and labeling requirements.
