Home contest winners announced

Several homes in the towns of Kenbridge and Victoria and in Lunenburg County were awarded and commended for unique and creative holiday decorations.
Trudy Berry, with the Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce, announced the winners of the chamber’s 2017 Home Christmas Decorations Contest on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
The home of Katina Wilson, of Kenbridge, was named both the best overall winner of the contest and the first-place winner of the contest’s Traditional Theme category.
Clarece Cannaday’s home, located in Victoria, won first place in the contest’s Religious Theme category. The second-place winners were Tony and Christy Dalton, of Victoria.
Coming in second in the Traditional Theme category was Natasha Gill, of Victoria. Receiving third was Wade Harding, of Victoria, and honorable mention was given to Mary Lewis and Mike McGee, of Victoria.
Amy Johnston, of Kenbridge, received first place in the contest’s Novelty Theme category. Taking second was Robert Mundhenk, of Victoria, while Patricia Leon, of Kenbridge, placed third.
