Lunenburg County Public Schools (LCPS) held its Division Spelling Bee on Friday at 10 a.m. at Central High School. Each competitor was well prepared, and competition was intense. It took 23 rounds to declare a winner. In the end, Ben Currin, Lunenburg Middle School (LMS) eighth-grader, was declared the winner. The winning word was “dexterity.” Austin Konkel, Victoria Elementary School (VES) fifth-grader, was runner-up, and Caylen Jackson, Kenbridge Elementary School (KES) second-grader, placed third.
