Clifford Ray Hood, 85, of Lunenburg, Va. went to be with the Lord on Jan. 20, 2018. He was the husband of the late Augusta Seamster Hood and one of twelve children of the late Matthews Thorborn Hood and Lela H. Hood. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Karen Hood; grandsons, Brent Hood (Brittany) and Bryan Hood all of Lunenburg; sisters, Shirley Francis and Jeannette Tomlinson both of Victoria. Clifford and his brothers founded Hood Brothers Incorporated.

Clifford was a highly respected mechanic. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was a former Elder/treasurer of Northside Gospel Chapel where funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. with interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. The family wishes to thank Kevin Whitty and New Century Hospice of Farmville for their compassionate care and dedication to Mr. Hood.
