Victoria Police responded to more than a dozen men and women reportedly naked at Nottoway Falls, a man-made fishing reservoir/lake north of the Town of Victoria, July 21.
Chief Keith Phillips said details from the dispatch office cite that 15 nude men and women were found in the area of the falls.
“The subjects were cooperative and all checked out without warrants,” Phillips said.
Phillips said no charges were filed in relation to the incident, though he said it could have been charged under indecent exposure.
According to the Virginia State Code 18.2-387, indecent exposure is defined as “every person who intentionally makes an obscene display or exposure of his person, or the private parts thereof, in any public place, or in any place where others are present, or procures another to so expose himself.” The offender would be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor under state code.
