Rites held for Verla Doreen Burton

Verla Doreen Burton, 50, of Lunenburg, Va. went to be with Lord Dec. 12, 2015. She was the mother of the late Michael Wayne Burton. She is survived by her daughters; Leslie Burton and Danielle Golden of VA; three granddaughters, Jadeyn, Faye and Avery;

Her parents Steve and Verla Green of CA; her brother, Brian Green of OR and daughter-in-law, Erikka Ferguson of MA. Doreen proudly served her country in the U.S. Army.

She loved sewing and worked for Virginia Quilting, Inc. in South Hill, Va. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, Va.
