Between 75-100 people turned out and turned up to benefit good causes at Waverly Estate in Lunenburg Saturday.
Sarah Brown with Waverly Estate said the family-friendly Fall Kick Out Cancer Concert and celebration, held from 5-10 p.m., benefited the Lunenburg Charity Fund Inc. and Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center.
Brown said the Saturday concert featured the band Uncorked, which plays a variety of genres including blues, country, R&B, beach, motown, classic and southern rock.
There was also beer, wine, a silent auction and food from the Papa V’s Backyard Grill Catering & Food Truck.
The Lunenburg Charity Fund, a nonprofit, supports organizations and nonprofits in the county that include the Victoria and Ripberger public libraries, area food banks and the Lunenburg 4-H Club.
The Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center, located at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, supports families grappling with brain tumor diagnoses.
