Halloween events in the county are taking shape. If you are looking for fun and safe options this year you won’t be disappointed. Both the Town of Kenbridge and the Town of Victoria are hosting Trunk or Treats for your little ones. In its second year Town of Victoria officials request you bring your ghosts, goblins and flying witches out to Victoria Railroad Park for this year’s Trunk or Treat. From 5-7 p.m. goodie bags and “spook-tacular” treats will be available for children up to the age of 13. Town officials also ask attendees consider donating non-perishable and or canned goods to help support local food banks. “The town of Victoria is encouraging all to take part in this event to provide a safe environment for the children of the community,” Town manager Rodney Newton said in a previous Dispatch report. The Town of Kenbridge will celebrate its sixth year of hosting its annual Trunk or Treat event. In a new location this year the event starts at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 7 p.m. This fun and safe event will be held at the Kenbridge Town Hall back parking lot which is located at 511 E. Fifth Ave., Kenbridge. For more information call (434) 676-2452.
