The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wakefield is reporting snowfall into the evening for Lunenburg County, and the chance for ice along the roads as the temperatures dip below freezing overnight.

“Plan on dangerous road conditions with difficult travel,” the NWS report cited. “The wet nature of the snow will also allow it to stick to tree limbs which could cause some isolated outages.”

The Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) outage map reports approximately 169 outages in Lunenburg County. Crews are assessing damages at these areas.
