Board to reorganize Thursday

The Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors is set to reorganize board leadership during its meeting Thursday, 6 p.m. at the Lunenburg County courthouse. Rehoboth District Supervisor Charles Slayton currently serves as the board chairman, and Beaver Creek District Supervisor Frank Bacon serves as vice chairman. Slayton and Bacon were re-elected by the board to their respective positions at the start of 2018. Slayton was first elected as chair in 2017, succeeding the late Brown’s Store District Supervisor and past chairman David E. Wingold Sr. Bacon was also elected vice chairman in 2017, succeeding Slayton, who was immediate past vice chairman.
