The Lunenburg County Youth Baseball League (LCYBL) Machine Pitch all-star team used outstanding defense to edge out a scrappy Prince Edward-Farmville all-star team 3-2 and advance to the championship phase of the 2019 Dixie Youth Baseball Machine Pitch State Tournament in Victoria. The LCYBL All-Stars were set to play the undefeated Dinwiddie National all-star team Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Neblett Field. With a win, Lunenburg would face Dinwiddie National again Wednesday at 7 p.m. for the state title. The LCYBL squad’s lone loss came Saturday at the hand of Dinwiddie National, 5-4.
