Gov. Ralph S. Northam has appointed Kenbridge resident Dr. Kendall Lee to the Behavioral Health and Development Services Board.
Lee, the assistant director of speech, hearing and learning services at Longwood University in Farmville, will be one of nine citizens from across the commonwealth on the board.
The Behavioral Health and Development Services Board serves as the policy-making body for the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services. The board has the statutory authority for the establishment of policy for the department, state facilities and community service boards. The board ensures the long-range programs and plans for behavioral health and developmental services provided by the commonwealth and by community service boards throughout Virginia.
Lee is the son of Charles and Shirley Lee of Kenbridge.
