Two people died in an early morning crash in Lunenburg County, according to Virginia State Police

According to spokeswoman Corinne Geller, state police responded to the crash at about 4:49 a.m. on Sunday Morning.

The accident occurred on Route 49 (Nottoway Boulevard) in Lunenburg, she said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Geller said. She didn’t offer details or identities on the two killed.
