A man was wounded in an early Sunday morning shooting in the parking lot of a Kenbridge convenience store, Police Chief Raymond Hite said.
The shooting took place approximately 2:30 a.m. and the victim was treated for his injuries by emergency squad personnel at the scene and not transported to a hospital, Hite said.
“According to a witness there were approximately four males in a white Nissan sedan — with 30-day tags in the parking lot of the store,” Hite stated in a press release. “The four males in the white sedan fled the scene. Evidence is still being processed and witnesses interviewed.”
There were surveillance cameras at the store. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, he said.
