LGS lacks fall ball participants, sets one more signup session

Lunenburg Girls Softball (LGS) Commissioner Tony Matthews will hold an additional round of signups for interleague fall ball on Saturday because LGS does not have enough participants to form a team in any age group. The signup session will run 4-6 p.m. at the Big Tee Restaurant in Kenbridge.
“If I don’t have the numbers, I may have to combine age groups or cancel an age group all together,” Matthews said. “I surely hope this doesn’t happen.”
Fall ball is intended to prepare girls ages 4-18 for spring play.
The cost to participate is $55 for the first child in a family and $50 for every child after that who is part of the same family.
Those who cannot make it to the registration session can turn in their completed forms to Tony Matthews or Tim Fowler.
The registration form is available at www.LGSoftball.org.
