Lifelong Victoria resident Wanda Fix has been named community editor of The Kenbridge-Victoria Dispatch.

In her new role, Fix will oversee publication of community news, working with area schools, non- profit groups and other organizations to publicize their activities. Based in the newspaper’s Victoria office, she will continue to assist customers with classified advertising and subscriptions.

“We are blessed to have Wanda fill this important new role for our newspaper,” said Steve Stewart, the newspaper’s publisher. “Her knowledge of the community is invaluable to our mission of filling our pages with indispensable hometown news for the people of Lunenburg County.”

Fix has worked for the Dispatch for 16 years. Born and raised in Victoria, she graduated from Central High School in 1977. She has two children and five grandchildren.

In her new role, Fix takes on some of the primary duties of Hannah Davis, who resigned as Dispatch editor recently to pursue a new career opportunity.

“We deeply appreciate Hannah’s valuable service to our newspaper over the past year and wish her well in her new endeavors,” Stewart said.

As community editor, Fix will work closely with Managing Editor Martin L. Cahn to ensure first-rate community news coverage for Dispatch readers.

“We invite our readers to connect with Wanda, to share your community news and suggest ways we can serve you better,” Stewart said.
