Central High School Principal John Long, far left, and Central Athletic Director Wallace Owen, far right, congratulate Chargers Raymond Alexander, second from right, and Keenan Anunay, second from left, for being named to the 2016 Virginia High School League Group 1A All-State Team for football. Alexander, a senior defensive end, was selected to the first team, and Anunay, a junior defensive back, was selected to the second team. Chargers Head Coach Will Thomas said, “It is a great honor to be selected as a member of this team, representing all the 1A schools in the state. We are very proud of these fine young men.” The selection committee consisted of eight coaches from across the commonwealth, representing some of the top football programs in Group 1A.
