Three players from Kenston Forest School’s varsity boys basketball team received accolades recently, with sophomore shooting guard Tyler White making the All-Virginia Colonial Conference first team.
Kavaliers Head Coach Bart Bellairs said White got better as the year went on and ended up averaging 10.5 points, four rebounds and three assists per game.
“He had a good outside shot last year, and this year, he went to the basket strong,” Bellairs said. “This will grab the eye of a few college coaches if he continues to improve his defense and consistency.”
Kenston Forest’s team captains, senior power forward J.E.B. Buchanan and senior small forward Payden Lawson, also received special recognition. Buchanan was named to the all-conference second team, and Lawson earned the All-Academic award, which is also handed out by the Virginia Colonial Conference (VCC).
