Clutch play lifts KFS JV baseball

The Kenston Forest School junior varsity baseball team edged out host Richmond Christian School 4-3 on Thursday thanks to great pitching from freshman Noah Phillips and a clutch hit by sophomore Matthew “The Hammer” Norton.

Phillips pitched four shutout innings with eight strikeouts, and Norton produced the game-winning hit in the top of the seventh inning.

The Kavaliers visited Southampton Academy on Tuesday, and they are scheduled to return to action Thursday, March 30, when they host to Southampton for a rematch at 4:30 p.m.
