Lillian Taylor Shelton, of Meherrin, died two days shy of her 92nd birthday on January 9, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy C. Shelton; son, James Shelton; and grandson, Roger Oakes.

She is survived by her  children; S. Taylor Shelton, Sally Anne Jones (Mike), Joseph E. Shelton (Terry), Guy C. Shelton Jr. (Gwen) and Dennis A. Shelton (Erin); eleven Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren.

Lillian was a retired registered nurse who will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate way with her patients.

Funeral services will be held April 2, at 2 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria to celebrate her life.
