The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Guitar Ensemble, directed by John Patykula, will perform at Kenbridge Baptist Church, 511 E. 5th Ave., Kenbridge on Sunday at 4 p.m. “The Ensemble has been a part of the Richmond music scene since 1982, consisting of 15 classical guitarists,” organizers said in a press release. “John Bullard, classical banjo, will be the special guest along with solo performance by VCU graduate Ashby Pernell. “The ensemble has been featured on several National Public Radio stations and on local television arts segments.” The event is free to the public.
