Hoover leads Central all-conference honorees

Central High School’s varsity baseball and soccer teams combined to produce 14 All-Conference 42 selections.
For baseball, junior pitcher/first baseman Ethan Hoover was named conference Player of the Year.
He was selected to the all-conference first team as both a pitcher and a first baseman. Chargers joining him on the first team included junior pitcher Christian Hall, junior outfielder Nate Nowlin and senior designated hitter Chris Fowler.
Chargers making the all-conference second team included senior second baseman Chandler Childress, senior outfielder Malik Foster, junior outfielder Noah Dunbar, junior catcher Jeff Goodwin, junior first baseman Christian Hall and junior shortstop L.J. Watson.
For soccer, senior Ben Atkins made the all-conference second team as a forward, and he was joined by two teammates — junior defender Darion Berrios and sophomore defender Colton Hinkle.
