The Clover High School’s Class of 1947 in Halifax held its 70th class reunion July 17 at Brian’s Steak House in South Hill. While only six are remaining, the class consisted of 20 people. Class members met at 11 a.m., chatted until noon, then enjoyed a delicious meal. Afterwards they reminisced about their school days, teachers, incidences and other topics of interest, including quite a few tall tales. The classmates then departed their happy gathering with many memories of their “good old times.” In attendance, pictured are, from left, MacDonald Edmondson, Sara Ligon Lee, Maggie Moss Edmondson and Elsie Owen Irby. Two members were unable to attend and are pictured at the bottom, Theodore Eudy, left, and Rose Nichols Jeter.
