The Central High School varsity girls volleyball team rebounded from a winless 2016 by opening its 2017 season with a victory.

The Lady Chargers traveled to face Sussex Central High School on Thursday evening and came away with a 3-0 win.

With its Tuesday home opener being rescheduled, Central (1-0) will now take on visiting Goochland High School on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
