Lunenburg’s election results

Election results are in for all of Lunenburg County’s 12 precincts:
Corey A. Stewart secured the Lunenburg vote for senator at 2,480 votes, or 55.43 percent. Tim Kaine received
1,942 votes, or 43.41 percent. Matt Waters received
51 votes, or 1.14 percent. There was one write-in candidate.
Denver Riggleman took the lead for the 5th Congressional District Seat, receiving 2,557 vote, or 57.14 percent. Leslie Cockburn received 1,910 votes, or 42.68 percent. There were eight write-in votes.
For proposed constitutional amendment question 1:
Should a county, city, or town be authorized to provide a partial tax exemption for real property that is subject to recurrent flooding, if flooding resiliency improvements have been made on the property?
75.03 percent voted yes, and 24.97 voted no.
For proposed Constitutional Amendment question 2:
Shall the real property tax exemption for a primary residence that is currently provided to the surviving spouses of veterans who had a one hundred percent service-connected, permanent, and total disability be amended to allow the surviving spouse to move to a different primary residence and still claim the exemption?
83.30 percent voted yes and 16.70 percent voted no.
