James Lewis Jenkins, a 29-year-old Farmville resident, was sentenced to an additional year in jail recently in Lunenburg County Circuit Court on a revocation of a suspended sentence for failing to be of good behavior since his original conviction of shooting at a dwelling in 2011, according to Lunenburg County Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Clement.
Jenkins is also facing significant incarceration in Prince Edward County on new charges of distribution of a schedule II controlled substance, malicious wounding, assault and batter of a family member, third offense, obstruction of justice, stalking and assault and battery.
The remaining portion of Jenkins’ suspended sentence is still subject to the outstanding conditions of the previous sentencing order, including good behavior, warrantless searches, no contact and staying out of Lunenburg County, according to Clement.
