The Lunenburg County Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9954 and the American Legion Post of Lunenburg County held a Memorial Day service on Monday at Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria.

Many residents attended to show their support of their area veterans groups, but to also pay tribute to soldiers who have fallen over the years to protect their nation.

The Rev. Mike Johnson was the guest speaker at the short evening event.
