Quick to judge

Headlines declared that Gov. Terry McAuliffe was under investigation by the FBI. Immediate reaction came from many different directions.
Some Republicans responded that they knew he was a crook all along. Some Democrats assured folks that there was no way. As a longtime political fundraiser, he would make sure he followed the rules.
The governor’s attorney assured the news media that there was no evidence that the governor had done anything illegal, therefore there should be no investigation to determine if there is any evidence of illegal activities.
In my opinion, all of these positions are way too premature. Just because a headline appears, in no way does that mean that someone is guilty of wrongdoing.
