Police bust ‘clandestine’meth lab

A clandestine laboratory containing methamphetamine and precursor chemicalas tao creaatae methamphetamines was recently discovered on May 24 in the Keysville area of Lunenburg County, according to a Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The discovery was made by the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia of State Police, making up the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force.
The task force, according to the release, conducted an investigation of what was found to be a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory.
The task force seized methamphetamine and precursor chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine as a result of the investigation, according to the release.
Arrests are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
Deputies from the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, special agents from the VSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Appomattox Field Office and the Lunenburg County Department of Social Services assisted in the investigation, according to the release.
